I've been trying to decide between this and the HPE-210F with this (HPE-410F), is the latest version of both. For about $ 100 more I got faster RAM and a computer six hearts instead of 4 I'm not really sure I even a quad-core, because I do not use programs that require more computing power, but I must say, this machine flies! It starts very fast and very calm. I have not yet tried the bluray but I am about using LightScribe technology on once I buy LightScribe discs excited. The only thing I dislike about this machine is the same for many other computer that I bought the test software that is installed on these things always either firewall or anti-fire test. Can be removed I'm sure, but if you are not familiar with computers is a bit more of a hassle than it's worth, I am certainly not disappointed so far. I'm definitely happy with my purchase:) For the reviewer who said that the warranty has expired ... I do not know how it could be because this computer is not even on Amazon for the warranty anyway ... It is only less than two months (I believe the manufacturer's 1 year) 14 of 14 people found this review helpful. Nice, upper mid-range systems by Raymond Wilmott Overall this is a beautiful machine. Fast, lots of storage space, lots of RAM, with some nice extras such as a Blu-ray drive. Even a few things to be aware of. On the positive side, this machine is faster and has more storage than you need for some form of day-to-day activities. The Blu-ray drive, decent graphics card, you are ready to burn discs, watch HD video, play games, etc. And while not exactly what a player is looking for hard core, it's good enough for the average player (so far I have installed and played Oblivion, Mass Effect, Test Drive Unlimited and Crysis Warhead ... the game smooth as silk when they get installed (Windows 7 makes some difficulties with the ME and CW)). On the negative side, at first I thought my system was DOA. The power light came, but no video on my monitor. After playing with the cables, which opened the case and moved the video card ..... and then things worked well. It was not the best experience of the box, but a simple solution: check the video card that fall loose in traffic. Speaking of video, was also pleased that there was no direct connection to my old VGA monitor .... but there is a VGA box, which solves the problem easily. The optical mouse is well understood, but the keyboard looks really cheap and feels (and is also Compaq, so it does not even match the rest of the system!) My last "Buyer-Beware" is that at this point after a week of heavy use, I think the system is overheating somehow. Originally I had the bottom is "panel space tower" on a typical computer desktop ... where my previous 2 PCs have lived happily in the past 10 years. Twice the machine crashed (BSOD, then reboot) while in the same area after running for several hours straight. I saw that we moved into a full "open" side of the desk and I have not had any crashes since. My feeling is that HP should have done some work better with fans / ventilation. Bottom line - the computer is a beautiful complex, with some flaws to be aware. 6 of 6 people found this review helpful. So far so good with Robert J. Hayden Jr. I have a 6 year old Dell that ran very slowly, it was frustrating. I studied computers for more than one month I was ready to buy a powerful gateway that was about $ 400 off the normal price. I read all the comments I could and she changed her mind. He had too many loose threads and complaining about overheating due to ventilation problems. HP's refurbished.
