Very fast and reliable so far. I use for my programs are very intense work, using a 3D graphics software for my design and modeling of aircraft parts in solid modeling and wire for the aerospace industry. I bought the 25 inch HP which works very well with this HP. An excellent product. I highly recommend. Now they have lowered the price of almost $ 150.00 for the PC makes a purchase even better. 7 of 7 people found this review helpful. Nice and easy. T. Kranz I chose this particular HP because it was the only one in this price range that had a FireWire connection, in addition to USB ports. I would have preferred to another processor, but the process of Intel in it's fast enough to run Adobe CS4. HP bloatware is obviously a complete waste of time and disk space, but it can quickly uninstall After two months I am satisfied with this machine. 15 of 21 people found this review helpful. Gone are the days of Anthony Elrod Gone are the days, June 23, 2010 by Anthony Elrod (Seattle, Washington, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: The HP Pavilion Elite Desktop PC HPE-250F (Black) (Personal Computers) Instead of a review, I'm also a shortened version of a letter to Mr. Mark Hurd, CEO of Hewlett Packard Dear Mr. Hurd, 27 April at 14:00 I got a Pavilion Elite Desktop that was defective and "dead in the box." I've been buying computers since 1992 and can accept this, but do not follow. (Order # 803 .........) repair from 6 pm to midnight, talking to people in India, with barely intelligible English the process extremely difficult. I had done tests over and over again and be endless wait in the middle. This was the incompetence Around midnight I was asked to do a "System Restore?" by his coach and said he would call back --- he never did and I was thinking that this is common. On April 28, convinced that the problem was beyond the abilities of its people offshore and not wanting to go back to the people I could not understand, who never called me back, and he put me on the interminable wait, I asked (for your warranty) to make someone a HouseCall here in Seattle, which was denied. I tried to access the U.S. support to no avail and ended up naming Sales - at least they spoke English. They basically told me "I was on my own" and I thought the phrase - "Abandon hope all ye who enter here" On April 29 I have your station Filipinos and repeated the same process for hours. One particularly grating was listening to the ad nausea parroted his message about the possibility of getting the housework while I languished in an endless wait. This is misleading and a lie rotting. My machine was brand new----a fact that wasn't even noticed by your techs until the third day After 20 hrs of my personal time had been chewed up, the dead machine was finally pronounced unfit and carted back by FedEx on April 30. On May 1, in one final exhaustive attempt to throw salt in my wounds, I received an email double charging me, and my Visa card was billed an extra $50 to boot. Come on Mr. Hurd, you are a great big Fortune 500 company, how hard is it to fix these things.....things I would expect if this was a David Packard startup in his Palo Alto garage. Best Regards A---- E---- Post Script---Yes there is a post script to all this. Hewlett-Packard again sent me a brand new machine---machine #2. After the initial setup, I couldn't get on the Internet. Once again I called your techs in India (Repair order #------858----). After about 5 hours, including a "face to face" and the usual endless tests, I went to bed. Since I wasn't willing to spend another 20 hours on the phone I sent the machine back for a refund Two bad machines in a row strains the credulity and the bounds of coincidence, but.

Should I touch feature ... no ... but I love the screen size - it is AWESOME! highly recommended for those who hate reading the small screen ... so I can not go back to 17-inch ... While on the track - I think asking for a bigger screen, because I'm spoiled at home. This computer came with a damn remote ... yes you heard me a remote for watching movies / DVDs, I guess ... no I have not tried it .... This has great potential, but like everything you need to learn how to use it. Handling wise, it's great. Have not you seen the Blue Screen of Death and the speed is phenomenal. Hope this helps. The reasons I got it - big screen, i5 processor, 1T storage .... 16 of 21 people found the following review helpful. Great gift for students of the University of Glen this purchase as a gift for a student at the university have been made, our ideas of space and functionality, the daughter of the special conditions. The donation of more than expectations. In fact, I intend to buy or successor model to be replaced as soon as my current desktop. Speed, small size, capacity, lack of clarity of the wiring, touch control and the praise I heard from this student. 11 of 14 people found this review helpful. Could it be two lemons? L. Alessio ordered this computer with high hopes. It has a great sound. The first one was eventually returned after hours on the phone with technical support. She said it was a defective motherboard. OK, it happens, I suppose, and honored the company, to return. I ordered a second. That one kept problems, among them, ladybugs landing on the screen or breathing on the screen would be changed randomly. More hours (yes, hours!) On the phone with technical support. They finally said they would send a technician to repair it, they overnighted two boxes of parts (hey, the computer is only 10 days old!), And confirmed (three times), that the coach would come in four days. On the day of the appointment, I waited seven hours (call several times), and the coach does not appear. I can say that the computer was very good when it worked, but this level of frustration is not acceptable for me. I still have two sealed boxes of parts, no idea what was in them, and asking them to return to HP resulted in nothing. Of course, the Touchsmart seconds. The company honored their return policy of 21 days. Both times. I'm in an Apple all-in-one. Change is a challenge, but the shop in coaching is phenomenal, and I am very satisfied. Conclusion: I only had maybe two lemons, but the company really blew me so far. (Anyone want a couple of boxes of parts for this product? Free? Just pay the postage.)

Customer feedback more useful 24 of 24 people found this review helpful. Overall a very good team. For MatthewLyness've had this computer for a month and have no problems so far. I discovered that the battery lasts about 3 hours with wifi and power settings to conserve battery life. The keyboard is good I think. The keys are up slightly over a brilliant round that keeps most of the dust and dirt under the keys. It is very easy to clean dust that may be in it. The fingerprint reader does not work with Google Chrome, so if you are a fan of chrome that this might apply to you. There is a plugin for Firefox to use it, but I do not like Firefox. Otherwise it works fine. The whole area of touch pad which means it can not rest your thumb on the click buttons. It has a scroll area on the side of the plate, which some teams do. Instead, you scroll with two fingers, which took me a few days to get used to, but now it's simple and easy to use keyboard has a special column of five buttons on the left. The keys open the HP MediaSmart, which is the window that appears on the screen to access the web camera, video editor, etc., is one that your default browser, a print button, and a calculator button, which is usually opens useless for me, but if the Windows calculator in one piece, it would be helpful. The only thing is that I often accidentally press the button when the Ctrl key. After getting used to typing on the keyboard, I think it is very convenient because it is not too mushy nor too hard. This computer was a replacement for my old Compaq Presario, so I thought I would buy an HP, Compaq, as an HP company. The speaker was fantastic on my Presario, so I was a little concerned that this laptop would cost more than the speakers, many of whom have liked to have hated because the speakers on the front like my Presario, and let me tell you .. I was not disappointed with these speakers. Many of them are strong and not an echo, like the Dell from my sister. So I really think it is a big plus. The hard drive than 640 GB, including the computer advertised, but I think you need to know that it is not a partition accessible because it is used for backup and recovery, it was no problem for me because I knew it would be so be because it was with my Presario. Everywhere 580-590 GB are used by the software configuration and features. The plastic on the screen is really scraping the belly. So I have to wipe with a soft towel. I like the aluminum body, because they do not collect fingerprints to bad. Here are some little things I liked about it is not very important: It comes with a pretty long network part, I say, it is almost ten feet long, although I had not yet measured. HP logo on the front of the notebook lights up what I thought was kinda cool. USB ports are not all crammed together in one place so you can get three USB devices at once and not worry about cramming the plugs in the same area. It does not feel as heavy as you would think if you believe that there is a 15.6 inches. I do not buy this product at Amazon, where I had originally planned on ordering it, because in the last minute, I did a search and found the exact same laptop on the HP website for about $ 50 less. All in all, I'm in love with this laptop. It's fast, beautiful and easy to use. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Another great HP laptop By William Jens Jensen, this is my second HP Notebook, my previous one is an HP Pavilion DV9334US the 17 ". I currently use a desktop HP Elite, and already had a similar HP desktop, both of which have served me well (I work mainly with graphics and book design) My old HP laptop has been a reliable workhorse (transmitted to my wife for her new career) and led me to seek another HP.

Customer Reviews more useful 35 of 35 people found the following review helpful. Large around the machine by the music I bought this product a few weeks ago. Fabulous machine. The Phenom II six-core chip is really screaming. The trade-off against comparable Intel chip in the computer model 470 is that a smaller cache compared to the larger number of cores in the Phenom (six to four AMD Intel), but if you have a lot of multi-threaded applications, is a profitable trade. Photoshop is as quick as I've seen them, and games can go with a higher frame rate if you wish. Multi-screen support is constructed and easy to configure. Upgrading is easy. My machine now has a Blu-ray writer, 3 TB disk and 16 GB of memory. It took half an hour to do everything himself and not a compatibility problem in sight to install. Some good things as small as the CF card does not need to be embedded so deeply that you need pliers to remove it, or top-mounted USB port. Small details that make beautiful things My problem is just to use the display port, I have yet to be able to do it, but it is less a technicality, and probably only a matter of updating the driver. All in all a great machine for a good price. Highly recommended. 21 of 22 people found this review helpful. Great Computer - very satisfied D. Turley I am very pleased with HPE-470f. I'm not sure about the previous post about how my 32-bit was exactly as expected with 64-bit, 8GB RAM, 1.5 TB disk, etc., etc. Everything as ordered and listed on Amazon - Instead HP said, it included an eSATA, but I was pretty sure that it was wrong (and was). I had the computer for a week now and everything works exactly as expected. Very fast processor. After checking the computer and get all updates of Windows 7, it was time to start editing the new machine with hardware and software that I wanted to add. Now I have OEM 1.5 5 TB drive, a new 2TB hard drive, and my old 500G drive (installed in the open slot below the external DVD) already have cable and SATA power connections were there. Also installed the DVD from my old computer as a second DVD - SATA is connected, but I'm waiting for the arrival of a short extension cord, the ATA to the power of free slot Cable / get - should be easy to do. For all this, I find the manual / info downloads on the HP website to be very useful, especially the "upgrade and maintenance guide" with the right information and pictures, as they perform all installations. I also installed the eSATA card I can for my 1 TB external hard drive connected via USB vs eSATA. When I install the power cable, I can also install my fax modem card into a slot remains open. I had all my files saved on the external drive, but since my old computer is old is available in safe mode, I could not use the Easy Transfer (does not work in safe mode), I have copied from the external hard drive, but Once I installed my old 500G drive, I just copied my data files from it to the new disk in the computer. Although the data on that drive there just in case I need it - I end up reformatting the disk and use it only for music, I think. During the installation of all equipment on the computer searched and found the necessary drivers without having to put me all difficult - very nice. As for the software. I have Office 2003 Student and Outlook 2010 does not include, I, I uninstalled Office 2010, track, and then loaded to 2003 I capabilities I need. I like Word 2003, etc. better than the new versions anyway. I have Publisher 2007, so I installed separately. All is well! I activated the Norton Internet Security 2011 and since I still have several months left on my last service I Norton Norton customer contact and rolled my remaining time in the 60-day trial - I'm nice too.

From Martinis for all that I already had an HP that I bought refurbished in 2001 and finally passed away 2 years ago and two years ago, I used a Dell laptop that I have acquired through a graduate program, Dell has lasted A total of four years. My HP laptop lasted about 7 years in total. It is life! I was very impressed with my HP laptop before and after doing my research dv6 bought this HP 3150th The main reason was because I wanted my laptop to start the process and other things very quickly and I-5, Intel gets things done very quickly. I like the big screen, and I am looking to buy one for my mom for Christmas. When I bought this, I did not pay too much attention to other benefits, I was just focused on the size of the screen and I-5-processor. The notebook comes with a backlight, so if I work in the dark, I can the backlight turn on and my keys light up and I did not know it came with a fingerprint identification, so when I connect, I can either a connection via a password, or pull my finger. I think my mother will have a real kick out of this when she gets her. Havent tested until now I've got the webcam now. My reason for buying this notebook is for home use. I intend to classes next semester and I know that creating PowerPoints and other documents will not be a problem. It is a great laptop and I'm very happy with my purchase. 22 of 24 customers found this review helpful. Looks good, but dissapoint By James A. Smith I ever saw for a laptop with reasonable specifications. I wanted a 15 "display, 4 GB RAM, Core i5 and 4 + hours battery life on less than $ 800.00. I really thought that HP would be the solution. On paper, looks good. Unfortionaitely after unpacking and using it for a while 'I was really disappointed with the touchpad is really difficult to use out of the box. I was able to update the drivers and software Synpatic allowed me to adjust the size and sensitivity, but it is still difficult to use. The keyboard is also ill-disposed. HP in their infinite wisdom decided to put any extra key Colum on the left side. This does not seem a big deal for pictures, but in practice it is very annoying because every time I put my hands on the keyboard, I press the wrong. The screen is comparable to other notebooks of this price range / resolution, but is not necessarily a plus. And 'good for web browsing and productivity applications, but I do not use it for serious work in Photoshop or games. On the positive side of the laptop seems to be the answer and not have too much bloatware. After driving a while the fans start, but sometimes when the computer gets very hot, no I am grateful for the soft lines and relatively thin appearance. Battery life is approximately 4.5 hours provided with WiFi enabled. If not for problems with keyboard and mouse that I've given four stars and held it. As it is, but I decided to return it and look elsewhere. August 8 found this review helpful. I love this laptop by Diana M. Becker, first I must admit that I am not a techie and bought this house for use. But I love this laptop. The screen is very clear and I love the thinness of the product. I do not buy the fingerprint reader, but have found that I really like the storage of all my Internet password, do not fumble for them every time I connect. The fingerprint reader was easy to configure and use. I use a wireless mouse for most not find mouse pad is a problem, but even if I use my mouse pad does not experience the stiffness that other users complained adjusted via the keyboard is a little unusual with extra keys on the side, but it took me only uses minutes to layout and I rarely miss type. The best thing about this laptop is.

And 'fast, and I do not have to wait and wait for things to appear. Very lightweight (I wish I could open it with one hand, though) and easy to move. The screen resolution is wonderful, the sound is excellent. It's worth it! 29 of 34 people found this review helpful. ABSOLUTELY NO HARDSHIP TO HAVE .. James, I am a geek (lol) and it was not AT ALL what I thought. This was my third HP dv7 (2 and have been customized for HP, an ordered on Amazon) and all had the same questions: Windows 7 works well, but causes a problem for his laptop. ACPI.sys files (Windows 7) results in real-time sound skips, jumps and cracks. This means that when you hear a song (ie on iTunes), play music, watch a Blu-ray, or a YouTube video, the sound is playing more experince glitchs second time, the programs run more slowly when the AC adapter is connected, then the good batterlife but not close to 5 hours. And that run in "power saving" option. So the laptop is very hot, despite being slightly raised with 9-cell battery. Finally, the HP customer support sucks. Their technicians have no idea what they are doing. They are extremely poorly trained, he replied with absolute about how to solve all the problems in India and are making it difficult to understand. You can tell they are reading a script when troubleshooting calls issue and falling a lot. I looked at some forums on the Internet, and a lot of people are having problems or very simlar, especially with HP customer service. Now I do not know if you have the same number (s) with him, I'm just saying that three of mine did .. 9 of 11 people found this review helpful Not so fast, I thought, but it's ok ... Luis Raul is great. Details on the "Argento style" is very good. The size of the hard disk is for me. The hertz is the CPU in order. The battery life, it's almost 5 hours ... not 5.25, but it's ok. Once Blu-ray is a good advantage for movies. The type of graphics card ... is not the best .... Medium is a type that do not support PhysX, could support but with the right drivers for 3D stereographic (not yet found, but the specifications, said the support) this card has to support one of the first world to DirectX 11 for laptops. Not as fast as I thought it to 6 GB of RAM, but it is still faster. Altogether great laptop for the price. No problems yet !!!!!!! See all 21 customer feedback ....

I've been trying to decide between this and the HPE-210F with this (HPE-410F), is the latest version of both. For about $ 100 more I got faster RAM and a computer six hearts instead of 4 I'm not really sure I even a quad-core, because I do not use programs that require more computing power, but I must say, this machine flies! It starts very fast and very calm. I have not yet tried the bluray but I am about using LightScribe technology on once I buy LightScribe discs excited. The only thing I dislike about this machine is the same for many other computer that I bought the test software that is installed on these things always either firewall or anti-fire test. Can be removed I'm sure, but if you are not familiar with computers is a bit more of a hassle than it's worth, I am certainly not disappointed so far. I'm definitely happy with my purchase:) For the reviewer who said that the warranty has expired ... I do not know how it could be because this computer is not even on Amazon for the warranty anyway ... It is only less than two months (I believe the manufacturer's 1 year) 14 of 14 people found this review helpful. Nice, upper mid-range systems by Raymond Wilmott Overall this is a beautiful machine. Fast, lots of storage space, lots of RAM, with some nice extras such as a Blu-ray drive. Even a few things to be aware of. On the positive side, this machine is faster and has more storage than you need for some form of day-to-day activities. The Blu-ray drive, decent graphics card, you are ready to burn discs, watch HD video, play games, etc. And while not exactly what a player is looking for hard core, it's good enough for the average player (so far I have installed and played Oblivion, Mass Effect, Test Drive Unlimited and Crysis Warhead ... the game smooth as silk when they get installed (Windows 7 makes some difficulties with the ME and CW)). On the negative side, at first I thought my system was DOA. The power light came, but no video on my monitor. After playing with the cables, which opened the case and moved the video card ..... and then things worked well. It was not the best experience of the box, but a simple solution: check the video card that fall loose in traffic. Speaking of video, was also pleased that there was no direct connection to my old VGA monitor .... but there is a VGA box, which solves the problem easily. The optical mouse is well understood, but the keyboard looks really cheap and feels (and is also Compaq, so it does not even match the rest of the system!) My last "Buyer-Beware" is that at this point after a week of heavy use, I think the system is overheating somehow. Originally I had the bottom is "panel space tower" on a typical computer desktop ... where my previous 2 PCs have lived happily in the past 10 years. Twice the machine crashed (BSOD, then reboot) while in the same area after running for several hours straight. I saw that we moved into a full "open" side of the desk and I have not had any crashes since. My feeling is that HP should have done some work better with fans / ventilation. Bottom line - the computer is a beautiful complex, with some flaws to be aware. 6 of 6 people found this review helpful. So far so good with Robert J. Hayden Jr. I have a 6 year old Dell that ran very slowly, it was frustrating. I studied computers for more than one month I was ready to buy a powerful gateway that was about $ 400 off the normal price. I read all the comments I could and she changed her mind. He had too many loose threads and complaining about overheating due to ventilation problems. HP's refurbished.

Most helpful customer reviews 49 of 52 people found the following review helpful. It's bittersweet. For Dylan, I was almost sad to see him go when I dropped off at UPS today for a refund. After about a week of troubleshooting with HP on why it would lock up after two hours or so, they reported that he had hardware failure. First Impressions (FINISH, Tranquility, Heat) When I took the box and fed her, I loved it! The aluminum finish is the biggest advantage for me. After an hour or so the creation and installation (and removal) software, the whole (the heat of plastic to save) was still cool to the touch. It was incredibly quiet. I do not think I've heard that the fans end up in the week I had. The low setting they were in was barely audible. SCREEN The screen is bright, although vertical viewing angles were impressive. Colors were great out of the box. I chose not to play with the settings of ATI. The 1600x900 resolution is a good choice for this screen size I would not go down, and while I could still go higher, it is only to satisfy my greed. Keyboard The keyboard has an overall positive feeling. I had no time to get used to the keyboard layout. I'm used to my HP DV4 not a numeric. And the fact that I used for debugging purposes DV4 most of the week did not help. One of my favorite features is the integrated action buttons you find on the Mac. The function keys are up there, out of the box, mainly used for functions such as play / pause, volume up / down, brightness up / down, etc. You do not have the Fn key to perform functions. If this is desirable, there is a toggle in the BIOS setup. The touchpad The touchpad is a serious design problem for me, though I knew what I was getting into when I ordered. I'm pretty easy to adapt to the keyboard and touchpad, so I thought it would not be a problem. Honestly, I would have no problem if I keep it It was just a nuisance. Let me clarify: When I use the touchpad, which I keep my finger on the mouse button while my middle finger is the tracking system. Because the touchpad is a complete unit, integrated with the buttons below the touchpad sensitivity, any movement of the index finger of the cursor in a rush to send all over the screen. It would not take very long to get used to it, though. And pressing the upper left corner twice to activate or deactivate the touchpad, then accidentally move the cursor while typing is not a concern. AUDIO sound quality was a big factor when choosing this laptop. It was a fire nicknames (apparently well respected, he told me), so I thought it must have been something special. Let me be clear on the front: If you are looking for sound quality, you will not find here. Own portable speakers sound good with a subwoofer to bring some of the lowest frequencies are not normally found in a notebook, but that does not mean that the unit looks good. There is a filter applied, so I could not find the life of me, I was very compressed sound (increasing soft sounds, while drawing back mercilessly loud sounds). I was listening to music with the speakers on board, literally, painful, sometimes (a song by Atreyu with many dishes and sounds as if under a volume of dramatic cuts in the helicopter with each stroke of a dish). I looked everywhere, and even re-install Windows, and updated drivers, and nothing solves the problem. On the other hand, the sound was great through the minijack. The output was strong, although it seems that the average low was driven a little bit about my dv4 with IDT HD audio. This whole thing blows, although complete gimick. Out of the box, the bass and treble controls in Windows are designed to promote the whole, it sounds like shit by setting the "Beat" (Fn + b), is just down the full height of (a) or all the way .

Good price and lots of power for almost all JPearce I would have given this a 2-star review because of the very poor stock switchable video ATI drivers (such as debt from HP, because they force the ATI to go through them and not separate release drivers ), but it's changed a lot recently. First, try a 17 + "screen found on a laptop for less than a grand a hard look - it is very VAIO Acer computers and gaming is not cheap, not to mention a real graphics card, I5, 4 gigs of RAM. and Win7. It's also a pretty decent battery supply, which is great, as mentioned in another review, but it's big in the right way, because it shoots back up to the surface, so it can be cool without the interrupt. about something, it is surprisingly simple: with a 17 "screen and full keyboard with number pad, I thought it would be a stone, but it's not bad. Initially I am very excited switchable graphics driver you are separated from the chip, Intel GMA onboard ATI HD4560 and because it is very flaky For example, if you sleep there, while ATI has chosen to let go, would not turn on the driver to work after a reboot of the switch took time, and about half the time when you are asleep again on the Intel GMA, it flashes green and red, you should come hand in the sleep and try again. Recently changed, however, because they finally updated the drivers, it is now changing rapidly and seem to have gone to all the questions. I would probably stay with the Intel GMA as much as possible because it heats up quickly with the ATI and most people do not mind that the ATI card needs, I can full HD video on the Intel GMA seen as the i5 optimized to work for them and the onboard graphics are not as bad as they were. I doubt that would actually overheat if left on constantly ATI, but if you're on Intel GMA pushes out as a fun little hot while running with ATI is definitely hot to the point where you would be uncomfortable if anywhere close to the vents Why it works extra hard to cool if it is not necessary? I would say it is not a fault of the laptop is just the way things work, graphics card becomes hot and is located in a small enclosed space, the integrated graphics are actually much cooler than my old laptop that had a small fraction of the power that it does. In terms of performance capabilities to develop on it I get heavier, so I gave it tests Fallout: New Vegas, and turned on the ATI card and it works like a desktop, to my surprise. So power is there if you need it, but usually not. Summary: great laptop for the money, clean the stuff from HP (my personal preference, because the things HP is notoriously difficult to completely eradicate, preferably with a format / reinstall) and updating the video driver and you If a company a good deal even better one for AMD $ 100 - $ 150 cheaper to change a good deal to make an incredibly good deal because it's almost exactly the same in terms of performance. 20 of 23 people found the following review helpful. HP Pavilion dv7-4180 Mister clear why I bought this laptop mainly for photos (and maybe video) editing. Pros: This is a really powerful laptop. Works well with CS5. A good replacement for my desktop. I love the widescreen, which helps me to work on two documents at the same time. Battery performance is excellent. I love the graphics card exchange method that saves energy. HP Advisor is very helpful. Disadvantages: The mouse pad buttons are not so friendly. The left and right buttons are hard to press. You need to find a "sweet spot" that is the center of the press or you can use a mouse or a tablet. The painting is not so good, especially on the edge. It is easy to chip. The rubberized surface is also fade quickly. (I just got this laptop for less.

It looks good, but make sure you've done a little deeper by Ryan Rodemoyer, I saw this computer at SAM'S CLUB (possibly when I bought it) and was completely besotted. This laptop offers an unbelievable value for the price. HP has brought to every case their "A" game to this model. There are some things you need * to know before buying this laptop. First, the model I bought a 500 GB hard drive announced this is true, but it is 2 x 250 GB hard drives. Not that big deal, but I can not believe it is not listed as such. Second, the notebook comes preloaded with a ton of trash and is highly integrated with Windows Live stuff. Messenger, Live Toolbar, etc. It comes with a trial version of Norton Internet Security and a trial version of Office 2007. My advice: Get off the computer ASAP Norton and install another antivirus product. Thirdly, no CD of the operating system come with the package. There is a partition of "recovery", which contains about 12 GB of stuff (not 100% sure what exactly there) know that when you set the computer that says, you must create a recovery disc. I went through to create the installation disks and here's the kicker - takes 21 CDs or 3 DVDs to create the recovery discs. Talk stupid. From now on, I deleted the partition and loaded the operating system Windows 7 Beta. The recognition of the driver is great on Windows 7 - both wired and wireless Ethernet drivers were installed my out-of-the-box. The appearance of this model is beautiful. The screen 17 "HD is amazing and the whole laptop has that elegant look and feel to it. The bronze color stands out. All in all, you can not beat the price of this laptop. For what is provided with a comparable model from another supplier would cost 600 to $ 700 more than what I bought for my ($ 898 + tax). Finally, it is only my opinion and should be treated as such. Please do yourself a favor and do not install XP on this laptop, this is too big to go back to XP. Aero looks good and this laptop should be able to run everything you throw at it. Even a clean install of Windows Vista should not cause any problems. While XP works well for most people, do not fight the change and trying to give Vista / 7 a fair chance. Hell, even try the new Ubuntu (I think 8.10), as it must look good in this too. 51 of 57 people found this review helpful. Beauty in bronze, but illegible keyboard! By Edmund H. Fernandes, I only got my very cool HP Pavilion dv7-1240US, but I can not see letters and numbers on the keyboard. The laptop is all brass, including the keyboard and the keyboard letters and numbers appear to be gray. I tried to move my reading lamp as close as possible to the laptop and yet I can not distinguish letters and numbers correctly. I have to keep moving around my head from different angles to see. I can not believe that HP would be a product with this obvious problem .. If only the letters and numbers were white bronze on this notebook would have received 5 stars! Anyone out there with this problem, and if so is there a solution but to return it? Everything else looks very good. EDIT! February 28, 2009 I returned it and bought the DV7-1150US, very similar features silver-gray. The keyboard is readable, black letters and numbers on silver-gray. Very nice. 28 of 31 people found the following review helpful. This is an incredible machine by R. Taylor got it at Best Buy for $ 700 and this is an excellent machine for the price. You get an HD display, integrated webcam and microphone, quiet keyboard that is perfect for an adult, a nice interface, a nice touch pad to its volume, play, mute, forward and backward to increase ... a 64-bit system with 4 GB of RAM can store 8 GB of RAM ... great. The mouse pad has a scroll function on the side of the art computer audio (speakers of this brand is very expensive), a dedicated.

Large Laptop By Mark on this laptop is really good. 4-core AMD processor makes things move at a fairly high rate, although it ranked below i7 is still working very well. Also a large hard drive and the light on the keyboard is especially fun when working on things at night. But the best thing about the laptop video card. ATI Mobility Radeon (TM) HD 5650 was actually selling point for me. The standard graphics card that comes with a lower-end laptops use an absolute minimum, and often the performance of a laptop back. Not so with this laptop. The graphics card is phenomenal for the price of the laptop. Overall good laptop performance wise. It looks really nice too. However, there is one drawback to HP and the preinstalled software. I do not know if other companies do it, but it was filled with stuff and even hamper performance. I have a Windows disc 7 Ult bought previously so I installed my own version after I played with the operating system pre-installed software for a bit and most drivers on the HP website, so there was really no trouble with them find (if you choose to do this, first a recovery disk!). But I know someone said that if you press F11 at startup and make the repair option you can choose to reinstall Windows with a minimal installation that will get rid of the preinstalled software, but installing the drivers. I recommend that if you are looking for an above average laptop with a good video card. 15 of 15 people found the following review helpful. No wires, screws, instructions, thin, outdated software, no technical support from Pioneer. Performance of the BD-RE is more like 1X 2X instead of argued. Speed on BD-R is also slower than the present. 17 of 21 people found the following review helpful. Item Type Atul Garg I bought Platinum Micro, Inc. is a bulk (or OEM), not retail. It does not have a label of Pioneer. So you will not have the original box and cables. Works well good! The software is from Cyberlink, and said final reading and burning suite for Blu-ray Disc, but you will be asked to play an upgrade after installation can not HD formats like AVCHD (HD) camcorders. The cost to upgrade to the reading room is $[...]. There are two parts to upgrade, but I have to see the price for an upgrade. Please visit the CyberLink website. All 33 customer reviews ....

LG GP08LU10 8x DVD±RW Slim Super Multi Drive with LightScribe

You might not know it from looking at this DVD drive's sleek, slim exterior, but it's loaded with capabilities. LG's external CD- and DVD-burner looks great, and works in four unique formats. Super-multi read-and-write lets you select your style for maximum performance, while the USB connection means there's no need for an AC adapter.

Gildart I bought this drive specifically for use with one of my Windows-based PCs. It works well with what I had expected, and Windows software included with the drive, is also wonderful and very welcome. I had not expected, however, that with my Macbook 1.83 GHz Core 2 Duo to work. My internal optical drive is dying, and while it is relatively easy to use a network drive for installation and material, it is certainly not so easy to go back and forth to the other desk. Documentation and all but one of the reviews were pretty clear that this is not a Mac-friendly product, so I was pleasantly surprised when Mighty MacBook jumped right on that play music CD into the drive. I was even more surprised if there is a DVD burned with the native / Finder / disc-burning program (no third party software to all participants). And I was happy to learn that he LightScribe free download for Mac, but I did not expect to work in Snow Leopard, but they do. It plays movies in DVD player software. I'm not sure if my version of DVD Player that shipped with my macbook, or is it something that came with my hard snow leopard, but the film has opened - impressive speed as a matter of fact. 38 of 48 people found this review helpful. Dimm I bought this disc to a blank DVD-ROM, old, old was not even a tape recorder was read-only to be replaced and it was in a black box. This is a very good album, it seems well built, the tray is smooth and feels solid. I can not comment on the LightScribe feature, because I have not used. It was quite full, everything is included when I ordered this unit was the driver software, including firmware update live and a copy of Nero 8 Essentials. I will not install Nero 8, but if you do not have burning software, this is a good program for free. I have used other versions of Nero, and I've always been happy with them. No SATA cables or screws, this was no problem for me. I deducted one star, simply because there is no disk activity light on the drive. This is just the way the optical drives are now made, but I miss the light. It can be a little 'hard to find the eject button when the unit is completely black and mounted in black if I'm sure I will get used to it and maybe have a little "picky. All in all, this is a good, solid, rapid disc seems to handle all sizes of plates, except, of course, Blue Ray, and a reasonable price. And do not "half height" disignation you throw out, it's a tough standard size that fits a standard 5 1 / 2 inch drive. Can I buy another to replace my last hard drive that is one of the first DVD burners came out, I still have some of the disks 1x DVD I bought after buying the old burner, so you can imagine how quickly the new Samsung seems to be for me. 38 of 39 people found this review helpful. Unit Price Fast know HanzoTheRazor I received this CD very quickly and in good condition. It was packed very carefully. This is an OEM disk, but it came with a copy of Nero 8, which is not the full version, but still quite nice not include a SATA cable, but you can add a Point Syba (17 Transparent Blue ") here vote at Amazon purchased for $ 1.30, ive 4 of them so far and they are very much the player is not working too much and very fast (burning hell out of my old PATA) Note: ... The drive is not marked on the Samsung set, But it is a Toshiba Samsung Storage Tech. what 51% 49% joint venture Toshiba Samsung. "ve owned this news and comps Thève OEM discs have been ok for me.I always recommend to buy this CD. 34 of 35 customers found this review helpful. Good, but ..... By Kumiko Cauley The specifications of this DVD are very good. If you need a LightScribe-compatible drive, there is some of the best specifications available, in reviewing. I preordered it from Amazon and it was delivered within the promised time. Upon receipt, I installed the drive (this unit only comes with Nero software CD and manual - SATA data or power cable) and the unit will not turn short - damaged disc. I tried to call Samsung customer service help, but in vain. The customer service from Samsung is totally unnecessary. Amazon customer service, however, it was great. They immediately sent a new drive (even before receiving the defective drive as a return) and I installed it. Now works like a charm. Amazon offers prepaid delivery to their warehouse. So, in short, a great device if it works as it should do. And if not, Amazon stands by its product (unlike the Samsung). See all 108 customer comments ....
