The Phenom II six-core chip is really screaming. The trade-off against comparable Intel chip in the computer model 470 is that a smaller cache compared to the larger number of cores in the Phenom (six to four AMD Intel), but if you have a lot of multi-threaded applications, is a profitable trade. Photoshop is as quick as I've seen them, and games can go with a higher frame rate if you wish. Multi-screen support is constructed and easy to configure. Upgrading is easy. My machine now has a Blu-ray writer, 3 TB disk and 16 GB of memory. It took half an hour to do everything himself and not a compatibility problem in sight to install. Some good things as small as the CF card does not need to be embedded so deeply that you need pliers to remove it, or top-mounted USB port. Small details that make beautiful things My problem is just to use the display port, I have yet to be able to do it, but it is less a technicality, and probably only a matter of updating the driver. All in all a great machine for a good price. Highly recommended. 21 of 22 people found this review helpful. Great Computer - very satisfied D. Turley I am very pleased with HPE-470f. I'm not sure about the previous post about how my 32-bit was exactly as expected with 64-bit, 8GB RAM, 1.5 TB disk, etc., etc. Everything as ordered and listed on Amazon - Instead HP said, it included an eSATA, but I was pretty sure that it was wrong (and was). I had the computer for a week now and everything works exactly as expected. Very fast processor. After checking the computer and get all updates of Windows 7, it was time to start editing the new machine with hardware and software that I wanted to add. Now I have OEM 1.5 5 TB drive, a new 2TB hard drive, and my old 500G drive (installed in the open slot below the external DVD) already have cable and SATA power connections were there. Also installed the DVD from my old computer as a second DVD - SATA is connected, but I'm waiting for the arrival of a short extension cord, the ATA to the power of free slot Cable / get - should be easy to do. For all this, I find the manual / info downloads on the HP website to be very useful, especially the "upgrade and maintenance guide" with the right information and pictures, as they perform all installations. I also installed the eSATA card I can for my 1 TB external hard drive connected via USB vs eSATA. When I install the power cable, I can also install my fax modem card into a slot remains open. I had all my files saved on the external drive, but since my old computer is old is available in safe mode, I could not use the Easy Transfer (does not work in safe mode), I have copied from the external hard drive, but Once I installed my old 500G drive, I just copied my data files from it to the new disk in the computer. Although the data on that drive there just in case I need it - I end up reformatting the disk and use it only for music, I think. During the installation of all equipment on the computer searched and found the necessary drivers without having to put me all difficult - very nice. As for the software. I have Office 2003 Student and Outlook 2010 does not include, I, I uninstalled Office 2010, track, and then loaded to 2003 I capabilities I need. I like Word 2003, etc. better than the new versions anyway. I have Publisher 2007, so I installed separately. All is well! I activated the Norton Internet Security 2011 and since I still have several months left on my last service I Norton Norton customer contact and rolled my remaining time in the 60-day trial - I'm nice too.
